Menu Takeover: Golden Brown Co + Borrowed Time

I hope you're enjoying summer as much as we are! The sun has kept us nice and busy, here's a bit of what we're up to:
What we're drinking:
- 2011 Carmenere, Terra Noble Gran Reserva, Chile $13
This wine is a MI summer thunderstorm. Bold, unexpected, and beautiful to be caught up in. Dark fruit, toasty oak, and a touch of spice.
- 2008 Riesling, Grand Cru Rosacker, France $13
We are so geeked by this vintage riesling. It's dry with a hint of tart fruity sweetness and finishes with a kick.
What we're eating:
- Housemade Flatbread
A couple of weeks ago, we were introduced to Menu, a family-run Italian specialty foods company. We immediately fell in love with some of their fresh products and are currently serving their Mushroom Cream with Truffle spread on our housemade flatbread. In this photo, it's topped with fennel salami, goat cheese, and castelvetrano olives!
- Orange Dreamscicle Ice Cream Bars
Aunt Suzy has done it again. This refreshing dessert is the perfect light finish to any meal. It really tastes like those push-pops we used to love as kids, and it's really creamy too!

This Friday and Saturday, 7/29 & 7/30, Chef Jay Mullins from Golden Brown Co. Catering will be taking over our kitchen from 5pm - 11pm, serving up his own delicious menu of small plates. We're really excited to partner up with this inspired husband and wife team to bring guests another unique experience they can't find anywhere else. Here's a sneak peak of their prospective menu - stop in, order two small plates, and mention this email to receive a complimentary dessert!

Our live music on Sundays was such a hit, we decided to expand it to Friday and Saturday as well. Hop over to our calendar for a complete event listing, but you can expect to listen to some great tunes on:
- Fridays: 6pm - 9pm
- Satudays: 2pm - 5pm
- Sundays: 2pm - 5pm
- Yoga in the Yard every Tuesday
Each Tuesday from 10:30am - 11:30am, we invite locals and visitors alike to join Gina Lopez in the yard for a Mindful Vinyasa flow.
As always, thanks for your continued support. This fall, we hope to bring you even more events - tasting dinners, winemaker events, wine and painting, the list is endless.
